Garden modelling | Recent random outfit
It's just been Easter break so I went back home and did some gardening modelling again! This time: my new favourite random ouftit.
I was in my bedroom a couple of days before heading back to uni and realised I had nothing 'nice' to wear. Not that this outfit qualifies as a 'nice' thing to wear to a fancy dinner or literally any scenario my mother decides is 'nice' - but to me it was nice.
I was in my towel after having a bath and started putting different shirts on until I came across this old grey number. I'd forgotten it ever existed because it wasn't actually mine, it was my younger sister's but didn't fit her anymore, and seeing as I'm the queen of accuiring fancy 'hand-me-downs' from her, she let me take it.
So I popped it on and - despite the extremely tight squeeze to get it over my head and my hair-do going through the frizz equivalent of a car wash procedure - I thought it worked. It's a turtleneck jumper anyway, so with two of my favourite things combined I loved the look straight away.
I had recently decided I like the shirt-tucked-into-jeans-showing-a-belt look after I fell in love with a character on a tv show* I'd started watching and I was immediately influenced by her style. So I'd already started to wear more and more of my t-shirts tucked into these black leggings anyway, but the fashion choice is the reason I tried the jumper in the first place.
*I'd like to take this moment to thank Alex Danvers' wardrobe department.
The oversized shirt, however, was an accident. I had originally bought it for about £15 at a vintage fair held in a venue on my uni campus back in my first year (rip those good old days). I used to wear it a fair lot over that year, but as my fashion style changed a bit it got lost in my wardrobe so I gave it to my sister.
And there it was hanging on her wardrobe door, so naturally I just tried it on to see if the oversized size still suited me and it actually complimented the grey jumper - well I thought it did anyway. So after two years and a bit of convincing, I've got it back. I've worn this outfit a few times since too.
The outfit mainly works with boots, but if I'm feeling like it's a converse day then I'll wear converse. I like how attention is drawn to the brown belt because it matches the boots.
